Hello guys, we will discuss some of the critical points for the physical test in SSC CGL. First of all, guys congratulate clearing SSC examination and SSB now the next step is to clear the medical test exam.

Every year government conduct SSC CGL examination for the recruitment of Grade “B” & Grade “C”. There are various posts are available for the government ministries departments and offices.

The examination is conducted in 4 Tier. Where first and second Tier is computer-based examination whereas, Tier third is pen-paper test & fourth is typing/document check.

In India, it is the biggest exam conduct for graduate students. Every year more than a million students registered for SSC CGL examination. But only a few of them are capable of clearing the examination in the first attempt.

After completion of all the stages, you have to appear for Physical Test in SSC CGL. It compromises your medical fitness, height, weight to height ratio, teeth, eyes, etc.

Physical test in SSC CGL is not mandatory for all the posts listed in SSC CGL. There are only a few posts in which tests are required like:

These are the three post in which test is mandatory, and today I will show how to clear the physical examination in SSC CGL in 1st attempt.

To give a medical test, you have to fill the post to select the documentation position after your medical examination begins.

Physical standard for Inspector (Central excise/ examiner/ preventive officer), inspector and sub-inspector in CBN. 

Male candidates:

Minimum height: 157.5 cm
The minimum size of Chest: 81 cm (fully extended with a minimum of 5 cm).

You will get relax able in height by 5 cm if you are Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and you will also get relaxation in size if you are a member of schedule tribes. These are the minimum requirements for the male candidates who appear for the physical test in SSC CGL exam.

Physical test for male candidates:

Walking: 1600m in 15min.
Cycling: 8km in 30min.

Physical Test in SSC CGL for male candidates has to complete 1600 metres of walk in 15 minutes. You can even complete 1600 by running. The next test is now you have to do an 8 kilometer of cycling in 30 minutes. These are the two test which has to clear to get selected.

Female candidates

Height: 152cms
Weight: 48kg

In terms of the height of female candidates required minimum height of 152 cm, and the weight of female candidates should be around 48 kgs the same as that of the male candidate will also get relaxation.

There is relaxation In height and weight by 2.5 CM for female candidates and weight relaxable by 2 kg if you are Gorkhas, Garhwali, Assamese, and a member of any schedule tribes.

Physical test for SSC CGL female candidates

Walking: 1Km in 20min.
Cycling: 3km in 25min.

Physical Test in SSC CGL for female candidates has to complete one kilometre of distance in 20 minutes; you can achieve this distance by walking or even completing it by running.

This is the first test, and after that, there is 3 kilometre of cycling which you have to complete in 25 minutes.

Note: if you are an orthopedically disable candidate, you have to clear all the physical standard that is height, chest and weight as per the average candidates but this some relaxation in term of the test.

Physical test for orthopedically disable candidate:

All the candidates are grouped in terms of three categories

  • OL (One leg affected)
  • OAL (One arm affected)
  • OL & OAL (One leg one arm affected)

The walking test shall not be applicable in case of OL and OAL categories.

The cycling test shall not be applicable in case of all the three categories.

Physical standard required for the post of sub-inspector in Central bureau of investigation CBI

Height:

For Male Candidates: 165cm
For Female Candidates: 150cm

The male candidates’ height should be 165 cm, and the height of female candidates should be 150 cm.

There is a height relaxation for both male and female candidates if they are tribals and hillsmen by 5 centimetres.

Chest:

For Male Candidates: 76cm
For Female Candidates: Not Applicable

Chest measurement is required only for the male candidates, and there is no such requirement in the case of female candidates.

The chest of male candidates should be 76cm with expansion.

Vision:

Vision is essential for the post of sub-inspector in Central bureau of investigation CBI and the eyes side (with or without glasses) should be:

Distant vision: You required 6/6 eyesight in one eye and 6/9 eyesight in another eye.
Near vision: You required 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in another eye.

Physical standard required for the post of Sub-inspector in National investigation agency NIA

There is the only difference in height as compared to the requirement in the above post; otherwise, all the other aspects are the same.

Height:

For Male Candidates: 165cm
For Female Candidates: 150cm
