The new Volkswagen Tiguan Sound Edition: After launching its Tiguan in Trail Edition in the Indian market, Volkswagen has now introduced it in Sound Edition as well. Along with this, the Volkswagen Verts also comes with a sound edition. The Sound Edition adds several cosmetic changes along with many features in particular. The Volkswagen Tiguan Sound Edition will be available only in limited numbers. Even earlier, the company has also introduced the Volkswagen Taigun with a matte finish edition, which is available for sale in the Indian market.
The company is introducing the new edition to improve its sales.
Volkswagen Tiguan Sound Edition Price in India
The Volkswagen Tigun Sound Edition is priced in the Indian market at Rs 16.33 lakh for the manual transmission and Rs 17.90 lakh for the automatic version, ex-showroom. You can book it online through the website or by visiting your nearest dealership. The manual variant will cost you Rs 49,000 and the automatic variant will cost you Rs 55,000.
Volkswagen Taigen Sound Edition
As an exterior change, it has been introduced in the Sound Edition with some graphics and four new color options. Carbon Steel Grey, Lava Red, Rising Blue and Wild Cherry Red. And apart from that, the roof rails and ORVMs have been introduced in white only.
Apart from this, we also get to see some graphics changes as well as a batch of sound additions on the back. Other than that, no other design changes have been made, it continues to carry all of its existing design elements.
Volkswagen Tiguan Sound Edition Cabin and Features List
We don’t see any changes inside the cabin either. Inside the cabin, all existing features are still functional.
Among the features, it has an 8-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto. Other highlights include connected car technology, cruise control, single-pane voice-assist sunroof, automatic climate control, height-adjustable driver’s seat with ventilated sheet and ambient lighting.
In the Sound Edition, you get power seats in the front row and 7 speakers with subwoofer and amplifier as additional features.

Safety features of the Volkswagen Tiguan Sound Edition
The Volkswagen Tiguan has received a 5-star safety rating from Global&Cap, making it one of the safest vehicles in the Indian market. Other safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, rearview parking camera with seat belt reminder as standard and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Volkswagen Taigen Sound Edition Engine
Under the bonnet, its engine remains unchanged. It is powerful with its current engine options. 1.0 liter TSI petrol engine tuned to produce 115 bhp and 175 Nm of torque. This engine option comes with a six-speed manual and an automatic torque converter unit.
Volkswagen The Taigan Sound Edition is designed based on the Dynamic Line, which is why it only gets a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
In its regular variant, you get a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine that produces 150 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. And comes with a seven-speed manual gearbox with a six-speed manual. This engine option is offered in the recently launched Trail Edition.
