Hyundai Flying Taxi Supernal SA2 is going to be a super aerial vehicle, which is going to do vertical take off and landing. Although this is not the first time it has been unveiled, the SA1 was also unveiled for the first time in 2020. The flying taxi can carry up to five people at a time along with the pilot and will be powered by electricity.

Supernaval will be led by Hyundai President Jaiwon Shin, who has spent much of his time doing research with NASA. Aviation industry projections indicate a large expansion of EVTOL aircraft as a substitute for taxis in the future, Shin said. And to meet this, the market is going to require a large number of aircraft, while currently the number of commercial aircraft worldwide is not more than 30,000 units.

Supernal SA2 design looks very attractive and classy. The Supernal SA2 is designed to be quieter than conventional helicopters and light aircraft. It is powered by electricity. It can fly at a speed of 192 km per hour and at an altitude of 15,000 feet.

It is also designed for short flights between 40 to 65 km. The Supernal SA2 uses eight tilting rotors to maintain stability in mid-air. According to Shin, currently the batteries are powered by electricity, but in future generations, the hydrogen engine is going to be equipped with sealed technology.

It was designed by Luc Donckerwolker, chief designer of Hyundai Motor Group, who calls it Auto Meets Aero. The Supernal S A2 is the latest innovation that will take the future of vehicle segmentation to a higher level.

The company has not given any official information about when the Supernal SA2 is going to launch globally. But production is expected to begin in 2025 and free-production vehicles will be tested in 2026 and 2027.
