Tata Motors, a key player in India’s automotive industry, is making significant strides in the Tata Electric vehicle (EV) segment.
The company aims to fortify its presence by introducing five impressive electric cars within the next 1-2 years.

1. Tata Punch Electric
Expected to debut later this year or in early 2024, the Tata Punch EV has been spotted in testing, revealing intriguing features. Notable updates include a closed front grille, a distinctive blue color signifying its electric nature, and a gear lever replaced by a non-knob.
The cabin design is likely to undergo changes, featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a charging port near the headlight.
Its battery options might align with the Tata Tiago Electric, offering ranges around 300-350 km. Expect a premium price compared to the current model.
2. Tata Harrier Electric
Displayed at Auto Expo 2023, the Tata Harrier Electric is slated for a mid-2024 launch. Built on the Omega Extract platform, it’s anticipated to carry a 60kWh battery providing a range of about 500 km.
Design-wise, it mirrors the recently facelift Tata Harrier and could incorporate an all-wheel drive system. Positioned at a premium compared to the existing Tata Harrier, it promises an impressive electric driving experience.
3. Tata Safari Electric
Following the successful diesel Safari launch, Tata Motors plans to unveil the electric version shortly after the Harrier Electric’s release. Expected to resemble the diesel variant in design, its battery specifics and range details are yet to surface.
Projections hint at a generous range of 550-600 km, coupled with an all-wheel drive system. Like other Tata EVs, it’s positioned as a premium offering.
4. Tata Curvv Electric
The Tata Curvv Electric, spotted during tests, is a coupe-style electric SUV set to launch in 2024. Alongside anticipated petrol and diesel variants, this model targets an electric range of 400-500 km on a full charge.
Priced at around Rs 15 lakh in India, it represents Tata Motors’ commitment to diverse EV offerings.
5. Tata Sierra Electric
Tata Motors unveiled the once-popular Tata Sierra at Auto Expo 2023 as an electric version. Details are scarce, and no sightings of the Tata Sierra Electric have surfaced yet.
Expected to debut in 2025, specifics regarding features, range, and pricing are yet to be disclosed.
